Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of unpixelate.net, operated by the unpixelate.net team (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. Contact: support@unpixelate.net.

1. Accounts

You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to that Google account secure.

2. Credits and subscriptions

  • Plans are subscriptions. Each plan grants a set number of credits per billing period.
  • Credits are valid for the current billing period only and do not roll over.
  • New accounts receive 2 free credits, valid for 7 days, granted once per account after email verification.
  • Credits are consumed by output resolution: 1 credit for a result up to 4MP for Quick processing, 2 for Standard processing at 8MP, and 8 for HD processing, which uses the Topaz engine and returns up to 24MP. The detail-enhancement option on Standard processing carries no additional credit cost. HD processing is available on Pro and Max subscriptions. Failed, timed-out or rejected jobs do not consume credits.
  • We do not offer unlimited processing.

3. AI output limitations — please read

The Service uses AI to estimate and reconstruct detail. It is not a factual recovery of your original image.

  • Outputs may contain inaccurate or invented detail.
  • We do not restore information that is genuinely missing, blurred, obscured, deleted or censored in the source image.
  • We do not offer de-mosaicing, uncensoring, or removal of redactions.
  • We do not provide identity, facial-recognition, text-recovery or forensic determinations.
  • Do not rely on outputs as evidence of what an image originally contained.

4. Acceptable use

Upload only images you own or have the right to process. The Service must not be used to identify or profile individuals, to defeat censorship or redaction for unlawful purposes, or for any purpose prohibited below.

4.1 Content standards and prohibited categories

You must not use the Service to generate, process, enhance or restore any image that contains, depicts or facilitates:

  1. Sexual content and NSFW material, including any sexualized depiction of adults or suggestive content intended for sexual gratification.
  2. Content unsafe for children, including any sexualized depiction of minors, and any use of the Service on images of minors that serves such purposes. We report such content to the relevant authorities.
  3. Violence and gore, including gratuitous physical harm, mutilation, or extreme bodily injury depicted for shock value.
  4. Hate speech, including content that attacks, demeans or discriminates against people based on protected characteristics such as race, ethnicity, religion, national origin, gender identity, sexual orientation or disability.
  5. Deepfakes and impersonation, including creating or enhancing material designed to make a real person appear to do or say something they did not, or to mislead about a person's identity.
  6. Copyright and trademark infringement, including reproducing, restoring or enhancing protected works you do not own or have no right to use.

4.2 Enforcement

Violations may result in removal of output, forfeiture of credits, suspension or permanent termination of your account, and refusal of refunds for payments tied to the violating activity where permitted by law. Where we believe content violates the law, we preserve and report it to the relevant authorities.

4.3 Reporting

To report content that violates section 4.1, email support@unpixelate.net with the job or account details. We review reports promptly and will respond where a follow-up is required.

4.4 Content moderation

We moderate the Service through automated checks at submission, review of reports received under section 4.3, and audit of processing activity for policy violations. Because this is a restoration tool rather than an open generation tool, our checks focus on the images users upload and the outputs we return.

5. Refunds and cancellation

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future charges and your access continues until the end of the current period. Auto-renewals are not refundable.

6. Service availability

Image processing is powered by the Pruna AI p-image-upscale model, served through the Replicate platform. We may switch to a comparable model from a mainstream provider if needed for availability or quality; the model in use is disclosed on the How it works page. If the provider is unavailable we may show an unavailable state rather than return a result, and we will not charge credits for failed jobs. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on AI output.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
